THE SWAN
Three-candle porcelain candlestick in the shape of "Svanemølleværket" (Swan Mill Power Station), the largest brick building in Denmark. The power station is located at the north-eastern edge of Copenhagen in Svanemøllen Harbour. The candlestick was scaled so as to give a normal candle the same (rough) size as the building's three iconic chimneys, in proportion to the building. This makes the candlestick ridiculously large, which is what makes it one of my favourite designs pieces of all time.
